Installed my Pfadt Coilovers Tonight
Sorry, no pictures yet. I'll have some tomorrow for you all.
The install is fairly simple with the exception of removing the rubber bushing from the rear upper mounts. After this project I understand why the 5G Camaro is so damn heavy. The stock struts and springs must weight 100+ pounds. I'd like to thank Chase at Apex for the coil overs deal and quick shipping! |

Weighed mine when I did the install a few months ago.
Front OEM strut assembly: 23.1 lb Rear OEM shock assembly with mounting flange: 16.1 lb Front PFADT coilover assembly with camber plate: 16.5 lb Rear PFADT coilover assembly with mounting flange: 10.6 lb Total front weight reduction: 13.2 lb Total rear weight reduction: 11 lb Removing the rubber bushings from the rear mounts was the most time consuming part of the whole install. |

I have the Pfadt sport bars, end links and strut tower brace.
If I got the coil overs and kept them at stock height, would I notice any improvement in handling? |

Absolutely, coilovers are about a lot more than just ride height. You also get the benefits of reduced weight, decreased deflection, and full damping adjustment.

Coilovers also allow the ability to corner balance which lowering springs cannot.

COOL! Increased performance through superior parts and even a weight loss!!! That might not sound like a lot, but trim a little here, a little there, and next thing you know you've got substaintial weigh loss.
Thanks for sharing and looking forward to the pics'

That is one of the things that makes Pfadt engineering stand out, they understand that weight is critical to performance.
