One thing from the GTO that I wish Holden had carried over into their engineering on the Camaro is the ability to go into diagnostic mode on DIC. Something that Camaro has that the GTO sorely lacks is trunk room. The Camaro has at least twice as much trunk space, but then again, the GTO has a much more comfortable back seat.
I agree that the back seat is much better in the GTO. I don't think my Camaro is any faster than the 05 GTO I had. I think years from now, I will wish I had my 05 GTO back......due to the fact it will be very rare since they built so few.

I sure like the Camaro's looks better.

+1
The seats were much nicer, 200mph speedo, but that was about it. Nice car for a hashed over, rebuilt Holden Monaro.
I traded my '06 GTO (6000 miles) when I ordered my Camaro in May '09. They gave me $17k. Probably could have sold it outright for $18K or more, but would have had to pay full sales tax for the Camaro, so it evened out and I didn't have to deal with it. I agree, in a few years the GTO will probably be worth much more than the Camaro. But for now, the Camaro is a hell of lot more fun!

Cyclone gray ??? Is that a new color name for cyber gray or was that the color that you have for your GTO now ?

That was the GTO color. Some Pontiac things die hard.

I'm still on the fence, hanging on to my GTO. Some of the Camaro glitches reported here, especially paint issues, concern me about quality.

to me they kinda ruined the gto name with the last generation. when someone says they have a gto i only picture a 67, not that G6 looking mess. sorry not a fan, looks too much like a grand am with fancy wheels

Well that tree made the decision pretty easy for me.

The only thing I liked better about my GTOs were the extremely comfortable seats. That's it.
I think the whole interior is better in GTO, I really wish I could install the GTO seats into the Camaro though. They were great.

The Camaro overall is a much better car.

I had a 2006 GTO, sold it for the Camaro... I liked the clutch better on the GTO, it was more linear and didn't have such an abrupt engagement. I don't think the GTO had a particularly BETTER interior, just different. Overall I'm happy with the swap. The Camaro definitely rides better, and remains communicative with the driver about the road without being quite as harsh as the GTO was over bumps and potholes.
