I just Installed Borla Atak!

Got the borla atak axel back for a really good deal from a guy in the local camaro club. It's the V8 axel back. Just installed it today on my LLT and man it sounds awesome! Start up, and Idle it's really deep. WOT it is just loud, gets a little out of tone way up in the RPM's but still sounds amazing! Since its the V8 system it came with 4.5 tips that look really nice as well! Fiancée doesn't really like it much, so later on down the road I might add the magnaflow resonated x-pipe! Going to try and gets some videos up soon!

I'm expecing it to sound good low and maybe mid rpms, but raspy as heck at upper rpms.

But with the resonated X....that would take care of it (as always)

Definitely want to hear some vids if possible!

I imagine it sounds badass in the low rpms but raspy in the high.

I'm going to get some videos up hopefully tomorrow. It sounds great all around, but when you do get high in the RPM there is a bit of rasp, but it's torlerable. Honestly, I thought it would be worse than what it is, because I researched the exhaust on the forum and most of te topics where from the V8 guys saying its too loud, lol! So I was thinking it was going to be Stupid loud On the V6 and wouldn't have a good tone at all. But I was wrong, I love it! Any suggestions on what type of videos? Idle?cold start? WOT? Take offs? Or all?

Don't know why but it just really reminded me of the MRTs. Sounds great though

Cool but IMO you need to get an SS rear diffuser. The 2 main reasons:
1- the tips look a bit too big for the openings.
2- members who have put bigger tips (4.5) in the V6 diffuser eventually seen the holes on the diffuser melt.

I think they look fine, there is about 1/2inch clearance on each side. I know what you mean about melting the diffuser tho, I was concerned with that as well, but if it does happen I will get the SS diffuser. I actually touched the tips after driving and they don't seem to put off as much heat to melt them, but I'm sure it can eventually. The tips look double walled, almost resonated, but I'm not certain on that.

Sounds great! The tips from Borla are double walled meaning you won't have to worry about any damage to the diffuser from heat.
