Now I am seriously thinking about selling my Camaro

I just traded my black 00 silverado even up for a burgundy 03 Z71 Tahoe. So I guess I'm out of the picture. Doesn't really matter anyway cause I'm happily married. I better tell my son to start looking for a nice black truck.

You have to think about the statistics. There are millions of trucks and relatively few Camaros and other car models. More women see more men driving trucks: the numbers alone will make trucks the winners. Secondly, a lot of women know that personal use trucks can easily cost as much as a BMW these days. Trucks for personal use have replaced large rear wheel drive cars. Back in the days when fewer trucks were around (say < 1980) and those driving them were using them for work, the survey results would be different.

I get enough female attention from the Camaro, I don't see it rising from switching to a black pick-up.

Although I'm not a truck person, and find it annoying when people drive trucks for style but never use it for anything except to drive to work. Unless you're hauling stuff, or live in an area where you might need one, then I think you are dumb for owning a truck just to look cool.

In most cases:

"sports car" > pickup truck

I could see that. I've been single since I've had my camaro. It's great when you first get someone inside of it for a date, but it's not really a big thing.

I will agree with that. But this is a rare occasion. Not worth buying a truck to be able to drive in snow once every 5 years.

But my point is drivers who buy a truck with no intent of using it for anything but simple transportation confuse me. If you're using it with efficiency, by all means you need a truck. But I see a lot of high school kids driving lifted trucks to be loud and obnoxious. I suppose the same could be said about sports cars but at least they are meant for speed and style. To each his own, though. I may have been a bit harsh with my opinion.
