tiny sun visors

Anyone put bigger sun visors on their car? The stock ones are impractical if the sun is to your left.. maybe just buy a pair of shades?

A bigger sun visor would block the whole window. I'd go with a pair of shades.

Get limo tint across the top of the windshield (legal is down to the mark on the windshield on each side).

That is what I did and it made a huge difference. Have not needed the visors at all so far.

Edit: Sorry, complaint is the left.. got tint? 20 to 25% tint and no problems I'd bet.

Yea these sun visors are pretty much useless. I also did a strip of tint across the top of the windshield.

Cool pair of shades my friend. A bigger visor would just be too bulky and block you line of sight.

My observation about this car is something like this. I was used to driving a 2007 white Silverado. I have just slightly sensitive eyes to bright light, so I always would wear sunglasses while driving.

I found, after purchasing this car, that because its windshield profile is so much smaller, and maybe because the car is black I don't know, but that I don't struggle as much in the sun while driving. While I prefer to wear my sunglasses, if I forget them I don't have to immediately turn around and go back for them like if I were driving my truck.

I believe someone on here at one point referred to driving a truck like that as "sitting up in a fish bowl." And since going back and driving my truck some after the Camaro, I feel exactly that way and I don't call it a compliment.

Basically my opinion with a Camaro tint the side and back windows if your state law allows, and get a decent pair of shades and rock out.

Your talking about the side. I know what you mean. Sunrise or sunset there is no help for the sun blasting you or the passenger in the side of the face. The sun visors on the car work ok for the front direction, but for the side there is nothing. Sunglasses don't cut it for the side. I have seen some sun shade things at auto parts stores that static cling to the window or other types that stick on with little suction cups. I think Im going to try something like these.

The windshield isnt the problem, its the side window that the visors do absolutely nothing for.

Also, unless you are getting old man sunglasses, they dont cover the sides of your face.

So, limo tinted side windows is the only solution to blocking sun from the side since the visors and sunglasses do nothing

I was exaggerating about limo tint, as it is very illegal in most states and impossible to see out of at night, and can be tough to see out during the day.

Somewhere between 20% and 35% is legal/good looking/helps cut down on the sun.

Quality tint will last as long as you have the car, its done to the inside so it doesnt get hit with rain, bugs, etc.

I believe I paid 130$ for the side windows, the little 1/4 windows, and the rear glass. 35% on the sides and 20% on the back IIRC
