Bluetooth iPhone 4 issues

For the previous 2 years, my car and phone have existed happily together with no issues whatsoever. They were paired and worked as advertised. Within the last week, something has changed and I can't seem to figure out how to solve the problem.

Hope this makes sense...both the phone and the car stereo display show the Bluetooth "B" logo and show paired when not in use. However, when a call come in, instead of coming through the stereo like normal, the phone rings, but the display says "private call" and "connected" but the audio refuses to come through the car speakers. The Bluetooth logos disappear from both the phone and car. As soon as the call is completed, the logs return.

I have tried to delete and re-pair from both phone and car with no luck. I cannot seem to figure out what the problem is. Any body have ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!

Alot of guys are having problems with there bluetooth this past week, including myself, where the phone doesn't disconnect from the car even with the keys out of it. The onstar light doesn't go off. Some have gone to dealer and they did a software upgrade.

Did they go to the dealer before or after the symptoms appeared?

I'm having the same problem all of a sudden, and I'm starting to think it's because I updated my iphone software recently. You guys are describing my symptoms exactly. Has anyone else updated their iPhone software recently?

My iOS4 is 4.0.1 and is JB so it is a very old version of the iOS.

Is 4.21 Verizon or AT&T? Verizon is CDMA network, so it makes a big difference.

ATT

And it shouldn't make any difference when it comes to Bluetooth on the iPhone. Both versions bt function exactly the same and have the same bt chip.
Although the iPhone on Verizon does run a different version of iOS that's branched off so it's possible for bugs to exist in this version and not other versions of the iPhone on ATT.

I have ATT and 4.3.5 and the symptoms persist. I'm going to roll back tomorrow morning and hope that this resolves the situation. I'll keep everyone posted if its sucessful.

Same issue since I purchased in may, but it would work on a random basis. Went on Wednesday and they put in a new module with the DB/DD HW/SW and now the phone won't pair.....

The Bluetooth on both systems are the same protocol and as such will not make a difference at all. The difference between AT&T and Verizon is the cellular frequencies for calls and data.

My issue is my iPhone 4 paired with the Camaro since getting it last July with no issues wasn't being recognized with 4.3.5 update. Tried multiple times over the course of two days then deleted the iPhone from the headunit and told the iPhone to forget that connection - tried to pair again and no joy. Will keep trying and ultimately take it to the dealer to ensure it isn't a PDIM issue.
