The SS and SRT8 is close, the ZL1 will destroy both.

The SRT8 with the 392 will eat an SS that is bone stock, but will see nothing but taillights on a ZL1, even with a bad driver. The dog is heavier and has over 120 fewer hp than the ZL1.

SRT automatics are running as quick as 12.2, do your own math............... Seems the quickest manual is around 12.4, but not sure on the manual. the 392s are definatly EASY 12 second cars, the SSes are more 13 second cars, the ZL1s are runningsame as SRTs and slower in a LOT of cases.

Ya and allot of cases not all 392s are running 12.2-4s so lets get real! 392s around here are running 12.8s 12.7s the Zl1 is the faster car but anything can happen with bad driving.

Until the Challenger comes in a convertible model which will likely be never, they can suck balls. JMO. And yes, I'm trolln'.
As stated earlier, driver could make a major difference. So I'd say it's a statistical tie within the margin of error.

Anywho, i digress, and I agree, driver's race in the 1/4 mile and no idea what will happen next year when the SRT gets launch control and if it ever gets the 8 speed auto. Or the upcomcoming supercharged 6.2 hemi, of course alot if this is probably next gen or Cuda territory, who knows haha |

If you are talking 6-speed only vehicle, the ZL1 should get the win, although with some of the times I have seen posted that also could be a drivers race. If we are talking a 392 automatic car, it would be a great race but my money is on the 392.

Well in all actuality the auto is a 6-speed too, so exactly what are you saying? Both 6-speed auto and manual ZL1's would take an SRT8. More power and less weight, do the math. Theres none of this depends on the driver that I read on here before. People aren't comparing drivers so were assuming a professional or even a robot is driving the cars. Its a question of which "car" would win. Newmoon, would your money being on the SRT8 have anything to do with you having one? lol
