The best thing you can do for your wheels is wash them every time you wash the car. If you do this, you'll never need anything more than car soap and water. I just use a utility microfiber towel and my wash water after I finish cleaning the car.
If you get behind, you'll need a stronger cleaner. I really like Sonax Full Effect and Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner. I'd say these are interchangeable in terms of effectiveness. It'd be a good idea to invest in a boar's hair brush as well. Keeping a coat of sealant on the wheels will help keep brake dust from sticking and will make cleaning a ton easier. Hope that helps

Always treat your wheels like you would your door or your hood. Car wash soap and water as Camarodreams has stated. Harsh chemicals are never the answer!

Wish Adams would sell individual samples, instead of the kits which don't contain all I want to try...or maybe they do...???

What do you want a sample of? I'll send you some if it's something I have if you cover the shipping.

I may take you up on this!
Hell, I might think about flying you up to the Wash., DC area and ALLOW you to detail my car! (for free of course) Wish I knew who to take it to in Northern Virginia for at least one good detailing. Shouldn't be too tough as she is only 3 months old. My biggest issue are the wheels, they are from my 2011, and the barrels are real bad, and no amount of cleaner or scrubbing seems to clean them. Thanks for the offer. Jim

Hey, you fly me there, I'm in! Vacations are great and then you'll know how to do your cars from now on. PM me and I can get you some of Adam's new Deep Wheel Cleaner and some tips on how to attack those barrels.
