I agree. As long as my g/f gets the Camaro when she's done with her residency in December then I will go ahead and order a gt500.

Long story here but read on....I was in Germany (Air Force) and the Army/Air Force Exchange New Car Sales was having a lottery for these cars. Two 2008s as built, or you could order a 2009.

Well...I thru my name in the hat and low and behold...I was #1! I thought about it and in the end I wanted the Camaro SS more so I passed on it.

Had i been able to have both...I'd have a blue GT500 and my SIM Camaro SS today!

But...houses cost money and we were ready to buy upon returning from Europe so we now are the proud owners of a SIM 2SS/RS...and a house!

See...that wasn't that long! But...I'll agree with you agreeing with me...very nice GT500!!

To me both cars definately have strengths and weaknesses. Looks are subjective so we won't even bring that to the table. I like the mustang for it's low production(gt500 version). I love the fact you can get factory navigation. Stock horsepower is pretty unbelievable. If I were to get the Camaro I would instantly do most of the upgrades the GT500 already has including the brakes and supercharger. I will be doing suspension(of course) and wheels on both cars so that's a none issue. Now I love the Camaro as well. I love the simplistic approach on the interior of the Camaro but I equally appreciate the mustang interior. The Camaro for me has a futuristic look with a nod to the past which I really enjoy where as the Mustang just says hey the retro thing works for me. The Camaro is far superior in the suspension category but the Mustang is can be made to handle very well with "old technology". The Camaro is far easier and cheaper to mod engine wise and I have tons more experience with gm small blocks than the much more complicated DOHC ford motors. So again they both have their place in the world and I'm fortunate enough to live in a world where these two cars are available.

Just my two cents.
