Who's on a Convertible sales waiting list, with whom and why?

I know that there're a lot of people out there like me who've ante'd up at a dealer to be on the waiting list for one of the first Camaro convertibles to roll off the line.

I thought it'd be fun to post and give props to those dealers out there who've agreed to pony up a car for us when they become available.

I'm #11 on the list at Classic Chevy in Grapevine, Texas (yeah, I'm in Tacoma, WA......) with thanks to two exceptional Camaro salesmen and enthusiasts. Scott Volkert of Newman Chev in Cedarburg, WI (Camaro Scotty) saw my plea for help in finding a dealership willing to give me GM pricing on such a not new car....and recommend Eric Hall (SS_Eric) who hooked me up with as close to pole position as I could hope for.

Proper credit where credit's due to Chevrolet of Puyallup's Rick Anderson and Michael Cady for agreeing to the drop ship and saving me a long winter's journey.

That's my story!

**raises hand** OH OH OH ME ME ME!!!!

Supposedly I'm #1 (been bugging them since last year)... Matt Stieber/ Chris Aleksander @ Moran Chevrolet Clinton Township, MI.

My parents bought their 1993 40th Anniversary Vette (#2 of 1000) off of Chris back when he was just a saleman. He is now Sales manager, but still takes care of the family (we have bought/ordered from him: 1 vette, 1 cavalier, 2 blazers, 1 avalanche (lemoned it for an escalade), 7 trailblazers & 1 ZR2 S-10 pick-up ~ 5 of which were mine). And he let me take a 2SS out for a spin alone (just asked that I didn't rack up the miles on it ~ I was a good girl :seesaw

I am #1 on the list at Budd's Chverolet in Oakville Ontario, only 1 hour from the Oshawa Factory! Bev helped put my deposit on paper and the manager came over to assure me he would meet all my order expectations.

Cool, congrats. Tiff, 7 Trailblazers???? That's more of the same car than I've own in my entire life! I've always moved around too much to have my own sales guy. Though if all goes as smoothly as I expect, I may have found one finally! Two really.

C'mon folks there're more stories out there!

Cindy here and I'm #4 on the waiting list to order my vert at BILL ESTES Chevrolet in Indianapolis, IN. I was #3 but Mr. Estes decided he wanted to be #1. I take our company vehicles to their service department so I am frequently at the dealership and almost everyone knows me by sight. Do to my relationship with the dealership I have been blessed with 3 seperate one on one lunch hours with the Camaro trying different models. First a 2010 2LT/RS auto, then a 2010 SS manual and finally a 2011 SS manual. My salesman Ross kept telling me that the 2011 shifted easier than the 2010 and he was right. I had my heart set on a SGM but since that isn't an option I keep debating between Summit White and CGM.

I've been #1 at our local dealer here in Nebraska since August of 2009. Made small refundable deposit and recieved letter stating such. I'll try to support local businesses when possible, but based on convertible allotments = previous coupe sales it is possible they may not get an initial allotment.:( (They state they will, but will demand to see allocation statement for a sold order; I think this how it should work)

Sooooo....with the help of Camaro Scotty, I made contact with Eric at Classic Chevolet in grapevine Texas and in June of this year made #10 on their list. Since they are THEE largest dealership they should recieve a good number of initial allotments. They also have a very good reputation here in the forum so I feel safe. In ways, kind of hope to make the trip to my old stomping grounds in Texas AND get a few mods right away with ADM performance while I'm down there taking delivery.

OK. All the above is 100% true and I've surely kissed enough to get a "special package"

Now...just another 4-5 month wait.

PS Just want to see the top in action and for SOMEONE to quit teasing us with cool things that may be on the convertible
