Yup, it seems that X-pipe goes where there is a resonator on the G8. Perhaps this is a result of the exhaust note tuning we've read in the past.

I noticed the possitive cable for the battery runs through the firewall...... battery is in the trunk with shunt, Guess he is in need of some shock therapy

that's so you can pop the hood and jump it or another car with out having to back up and lift up the rear cover over the battery.

Shoot, if the pipes are 3-inch, I'll rip those off, bolt-on some Borlas, and loose like 20 lbs.! LOL. Whatever; they can bolt on some dumpsters for all I care, I'll be replacing the mufflers/exhaust anyways.
