For example, for starters, worked the bridge to simpler form and colors, removed background, etc.

Drop the Palm Coast.... Skyway Camaro Club? obvious reference to the sunshine skyway which is centrally located to all of us...just a thought.

I would love to be there but don't think I can make it. I have a 24 hour work project beginning saturday morning and ending Sunday morning. Hope I'm asleep at the time of the gathering...if by some chance I'm not, I'll come out.. but I may be cranky
I like Skyway, but as a Tampa person I think of Skyway as St. Pete. I prefer Tampa Bay Last edited by cam62; 08-17-2011 at 03:33 PM. Reason: i like skyway |

I thought so to, but there is already Tampa Gulf Coast who do meets in Tampa, I figured something like Skyway was Unique and EVERYONE in the immediate area could relate to it...I guess Howard Franklin would be more tampaish but doesnt sound nearly as good lol
P.S. I LOVE your Pic/CAR!! |

Palm coast is out and won't be voted on. Tampa Bay Camaros has gotten by far the best feedback on here and in PM's emails and such. We are using that name for now and will vote to make it official next Sunday. If we have more names to throw in the ring we sure can. Majority rules.
Thanks to ibmrs for coming up with some logo ideas. I used the original one for the time being as the photo for our facebook group. (Address in OP) Can easily make changes to the facebook group after next week. |

I don't know about you all but, i'm getting excited. The formation of the club is coming together and getting a nice response. I think we will have more 5th gens at this first meet than i have ever seen at any meets or shows i have been to previously. Should make for a great time.
Keep the ideas coming. They are appreciated much. I believe this is going to be a really nice active club we can all be proud of when we get rolling further along. |

Sounds good to me. I do not have the programs or the skills to create any logos. Anyone who does feel free to come up with an idea and make it up. The only thing it must be is family friendly. |

Idea of many landmarks is not bad, but how to pull it off in a decal where clean, simple may be required. Nice pics. Those are a lot of details for a logo, would be hard to simplify for a badge or emblem, etc. Would work fine for signatures, computer art.
I personally think those downtown shots aren't widely recognized outside of us, and are just tampa, the city. We should be more broad of an appeal to the whole area imo. I chose the bridge because it is our most iconic feature, people from outside the area are likely to know what it is. I like the idea of tampa bay in the club name, indicating the area, including all the region, not just the city of tampa, and the bridge does span tampa bay. Synergies in name and logo. Similarly some type of beach, water, palm tree theme would work, but is way overdone in fl. My 2 cents anyway.
