Cabin filter replaced. 29K miles [PICS]
Hi, he's another post for posterity.
Here is what you can expect your cabin filter to look like at around 29k miles. Both sides of the filter are equally dirty. The filter doesn't really look or feel like its going to filter anything particularly small...might keep things out like rocks or soot...or birds... The procedure is really easy, there are 3 retainers on the passenger side of the car that hold on the duct cover. Took about 5 minutes to replace. Probably should replace the filter at the 12-15k mark instead of waiting as long as I did. It also might be worth looking for a better aftermarket filter instead of the OEM/ACDelco filter. Enjoy

The white filter is the OEM replacement, its exactly the same one and I got it from GM while ordering a new splitter.
I didn't notice any oil residue, just black on both sides.
