WTB Canon or Nikon DSLR
I'm interested in a 15+MP DSLR. Been looking at the Canon T3i or Nikon D5100 or better. Not looking to spend much more than $500.

There both great cameras, I have a Canon Elan (Film) a XTi and I just bought a T3i plus a point & shot Canon. The only reason I bought the T3i is the video feature. All the lenses are compatible. So its your preference a Chevy or Ford.

I have a Canon 30D that I'd sell, and four lenses.

As an amateur and I mean very amateur, I have learned its not all about MP. Unless you are experienced with a DSLR or making posters, any of the newer models will fit your needs. The huge MP counts are a selling point more than needed. Look at the current pro models. Most of them have significantly less.
