You know what else has gone completely unsaid?

The Seahawk's were the first team to keep Aaron Rodgers from scoring a touchdown in almost 2 years.

If the players had a hair you know where they would honor the refs strike and not cross the picket line. As far as being over paid, an owner has the obligation to put out a quality product or your business will suffer by going with cheap imitations. As customers of the NFL they should be giving us a quality game that we have paid through our a** for. We as the customer should demand a much better entertainment value than the whah babies we watch every week.

Agreed. And the whole REASON this is happening is that the NFL wanted (and still wants) better officiating. The reason we are here is because fans have been crying for better refs for years.

Sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. But what is now happening is what should happen. If NFL wants to be able to take a ref out if he's under performing. And so be it. They come up with a deal.

But I gaurantee you the refs will be striking sooner than later. They just need to get their foot in the door. And they just did.

Yes , they did set a presedense. They have so far proven their point that they are better than what is out ther right now. This will be interesting to see what will happen. If you start pushing the owners, they can come back with something that the refs might not expect, like you said being able to get rid of bad refs. Or they could demand refs be in the same shape as the athletes. That alone would get rid of some of them.

The good thing is maybe it'll be better than it's been for years.

So true!! When they come back they better not miss a thing because the sh*t will hit the fan if they get what they are asking for and miss a call on the field.
