Bluetooth works on my iPod touch to stream music to the Camaro ... for short trips it is faster then connecting the usb cable.

Nope .... 60 Gb Thumb is a micro disk and not flash ... Big difference in electronics ...

your drive is too large. when you're on the USB setting, hold the right selector button (the one in the middle of the right knob) in for a few seconds and see what software version you're using. there's a thread somewhere on here about what the latest version currently is. if someone is successfully using a 16Mb flash drive, great. i haven't had the software upgrade done and the largest i can use is 8Mb. always remember that the indexing starts over every time you power up the car and the duration is dependent on the size of your drive & # of files.
if you have to have more music available, use the pin plug off your device or use the compatable iPod methods.

I've only seen thumbdrives with FAT16 and FAT32 formatting. I don't think the Camaro likes NTFS of FAT64 formatting. I think it also pukes if you have the flashdrive partitioned into several logical drives. |

My USB port has been having problems the whole time, hope yours isn't like mine. The dealer plugged in his iPhone into it and it worked, but not my brother's Iphone, or friends iPhone, or my new iPod, or anyone else's new iPod or iTouch ect... haha you get the picture i've tried it all. every time it said something about not recognizing the supported data. Good luck though, hope you can get it working

When I first got my car, my ipod classic didn't work. I updated the firmware on my ipod and that fixed it.
Then about a month later, the MMIM (PDIM) module had to be replaced because it wouldn't find any device connected to the usb port. The dealer replaced that part. These things are very finicky. I know there is a limit to how many songs you can put on a flash drive. Also, unlike an ipod, it has to reindex the flash drive every time you turn the car on. You might also make sure the songs are in the root directory. I'm not sure if that matters, but it's worth a try. |

I have a SanDisk Cruzer that is 2GB, and it works fine in the USB port. In fact, the radio display even calls it the Cruzer, which I thought was interesting.
A few things to note. Mine has two partitions, one which is (at least to the PC's) considered a CD drive which holds the Cruzer software on it. The other partition is the "hard drive" partition. It is FAT32. I also noticed that if songs are not assigned an album name, they will not play if I use the radio to select a genre. I have a whole bunch of random songs that I assigned the genre of "Techno", but did not initially assign them an album title. When I would go and try to play by genre, and play all songs, it would not work. So I had to go back to iTunes and give them all an arbitrary album name, and then it worked fine. iPod Nano (and old one) works fine as well.
