Retro SS badge install

Supposed to get my Heritage Grille installed tomorrow. I ordered the retro SS badge from Emblempros and will be replacing the front bowtie with it. Can't wait!

My question is: Has anyone replaced the rear bowtie with the retro SS badge? If so, did you have to use the mounting plate or can the badge just he adhered to the trunk lid - and what did you use to stick it on there? I sent an email to Emblempros but thought I'd check with y'all for "real life" experiences with this.

Thanks in advance.

They should be providing you with whatever you need to achieve a successful install.

The differnce between the front and rear applications are:
1) You will not need the bolts.
2) The bend angle is not the same on the rear as on the front.

All I need to know is if it is for the rear or the front, so I can make it the way you need to to be.

Thanks, Roger

You can get metal/painted ones from a 68/69 as I did from Classic ind.I added double sided tape to mount the rear one and the front has a bracket with a little modding. Four of us in our group have done this. They are $25-27 each

Got my front grille retro "SS" badge today from Roger @ Emblempros. Followed his simple install directions we discussed on the phone and it was a piece of cake - 15 minutes. I like it!

Just ordered another to replace the trunk bowtie. Thanks Roger... your the best!

Ordered an SS emblem from emblempro's as well. Going to see what it looks like on the back, sounds like I'll have to bend it a little which is no big deal

If you tell Roger it is for the trunk, he will bend it correctly for you. I just ordered the individual letters - didn't want the black back plate on the trunk.

cool deal, I'll send him an email to see if he can do that for me. My car being black, I'm not to concerned with the black on the outsides of the "SS". Will the individual letters cover your holes in the trunk lid?

Well, I haven't removed the rear bowtie yet (tomorrow's project) but, as I understand it, there are no holes on the 2013. If there are... I'll adapt and modify.
