For now, there is zero issue with it. Car was a bit hesitating at first and had some really small hiccups at lower rpm when shifting gears, but nothing affecting the way it drives at all. The car learned it very quicky. All in all, nothing affecting the way it drives. It is a cammed car after all. Pat G tune was spot on to begin with anyway. I will datalog tomorrow and send the file for a retune.

WHAMMO, for your datalogging, are you using a wideband O2 to measure air/fuel ratio as well?
I'm just curious...your thoughts? |

No wideband, tuning with Autocal. I trust Pat G.
My thoughts; I used Diablo sport for remote tuning with a banned tuner here. Car was boltons and then later put it on the dyno to monitor AF ratio. Air fuel ratio was perfect, without wideband tuning, remotly tuned with something basic like Diablosport, compared to Autocal. Then installed cam and got a SCT custom tune from a known tuner and it ran like shitt, undrivable. Tuner blamed a vaccum leak and I lost a week searching and double checking everything. Then made the switch to Pat G. With the base tune, without any datalog, the car was running perfect, right away. Then he corrected my tune 5x to be sure its running safe and optimal. So Im not worried a bit about A/F problems.

In for results!
Your intake is like lazerlemons but i didn't get as aggressive with your tb so you wouldn't have the drivability/tuning issues. Lazerlemon has it sorted now but it takes some time and you need your own software to get done. |

Ok got back from a ride and there is some low rpm bucking in 1st gear at friction point when not feeding enough gas. Guess ita a good sign so there is room for improvemwnt. I was caught off guard in 2nd gear WOT 4k rpm car got side ways quick. Its very cold though..

With my teeny tiny cam, and those same tires when not properly warmed up, mine will easily go sideways in 2nd with full nannies on, and it will fishtail and squirm a bit in 3rd, at 3900+RPM, again with full nannies on. Come to think of it, in 2nd gear, even with tires fully warmed up, it will go completely sideways, lol. |

***UPDATES***
###UPDATE WITH 1/4 MILE###
Went to the track yesterday and did 3-4 runs; All runs were a joke in term of launching; always 2.2x 0-60ft. That has to be the worst track in the world in term of surface prep. But that, I already knew. Last best E.T. before mods; 12.67 Last best mph before mods; 118mph New best E.T; 12.45 Bew best mph; 118.5 On the 2 first runs, 1-2 shifts were making the engine bug hard; car wasnt liking the hard shift and the engine was cuting power for half second like. I did 12.6@116mph. The 3rd run, 1-2 shift was still making the car bugs, but it was a lot better and did 12.45@118.5. There is still a problem though. I really feel like it could have been a 12.3@119mph, with no 1-2 shifts issue. Temperature was cool, but with a strong headwind. Old E.T. were in hotter temperature, no wind. Nothing to make a big difference IMO. The clutch was hot and the pedal wasnt returning quickly as it should. Parked the car and let it cool. Went back for a 4th ride and missed a shift and called it a day. A clutch would do wonder for my car I think, along with drag radial, of course. I already have my front Racestar wheels ready. I now run 315 Dueler tires rear and they arent any better for launching compared to Michelin A/S3 in 285. I suggest to go to a 305 size max. The car do oversteer with bigger tires in the rear. King of the drag this were; -Viper 13' GTS 11.97@126.7mph -X5 M 2017 tuned 11.9@115mph -Pack of 4 Golf R running 11.9-12.1@111-112 all day. CAI/tuned/downpipe from what I saw under their hood. Man those guys were thinking they were the best thing since sliced bread LOL 2 2011' 5.0 looking stock with some sort of exhaust -Vert 5.0 auto 13.1@112mph with some exhaust work and unknown mods -Coupe 5.0 manual with a really bad driver 13.5-14.0@107-109mph. You could really see the shifts were way too slow. WORST DRIVER OF THE YEAR AWARD; -SS 6th gen manual 14.5@107mph. The poor guy would lit the tires and hold the rpm all the way thru and couldnt shift to save his life! that was pathetic. His best time was like 13.5-7 IIRC. CLIFF NOTES Gained .2 and .5mph from Halltech CAI (no scoop) and stock TB/IM to Vararam DRX and ported TB& rod mod IM. It should have been a .3 and 1mph gain without the 1-2 shift issue IMO.

If you don't mind me asking.... How much did the port and rod mod for the intake cost? And how long did it take? I see 11's in your future!!! Very nice

Got an early update on the 1-2 bugs, my tuner looked at my log and stock tach is not keeping up with rpm ; I shift at 6900 on it and the engine is in fact turning at 7100 at that point so Im slightly hitting the limiter!! Damn!!

Not alone same problem and I thought it was something in the tune with tq mgmt...My tuner said to get a shift light that I might be hitting the rev limiter ( stock rpm gauge not keeping up with actual rpms)......

So a Ported TB and rod mod got about .2 off ET and .5mph in the 1/4 even after hitting the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift. Not too bad.
Guess I finally need to ship that IM sitting in my garage to Rick.

Nice work Johnny!!!! I know you have an 11 second car............... Just need to get some passes in with a decent 60' I think with a 1.9 you can get 11.8 just going off of my slips. Bump the limiter up to 7300 lol I don't worry about hitting mine that way

I might go to another track just to compare. There is one 3 hours away where guys run closer to what they are supposed to. Track prep is always better. At least I know there is more left in the car! I have some maintenance to do too; need to flush the old clutch fluid out and go with synthetic; clutch is acting when hot since Ive put cheap fluid (dot4 high perf but not synthetic) and install new brake pads. I have ATE fluid on the way. Pretty sure this is going to eliminate clutch issue.
