Oh, it went perfectly fine. I'm verrrrry happy.

I just didn't have the pix of the final product on my tablet...lol...just the ones of it being painted and assembled. I ALSO don't have finished pix on my computer.

SOOOOoooo.... I'm going to post up some pix manana.

I still have to rewire the fogs/drl hid's/side markers.

Maureen and the guys at Rodgers really came through. Un-frickin' real...

Got the ZL1 bumper from them and am having my paint guy here in town take care of all the paint/custom stripes. We got a shit ton done and boy am I happy. Those rock chips in the hood? GONE. The blotchyness of the silver hood stripe? GONE! All the rock chips in the front bumper? Obviously gone...all freaking new.

Ugh...I am very happy....very, very happy. Now....If I can manage getting up somewhat early tomorrow, I can disassemble all the parts from the old bumper to start rewiring my HID's.... but I doubt that will happen. Beer can be both a good thing and a bad thing.......

The only weird thing? Not having a mail slot anymore...

Are the front guards part of the front fascia?

How did you come out on insurance? Diminished value cash?

Yeah. The guards on the front of the wheel well are actually part of the front facia. I put them on the rear of the front wheel well just as extra added insurance to keep rocks and crap off the doors and fenders. The new wheels stick out quite a bit. Don't want to chew it up.

All the insurance stuff worked out. Got it all fixed up. I didn't pursue diminished value as pretty much everyone I talked to said it wasn't worth it. I'd be pulling teeth trying to get the other insurance company to give me a few bucks for diminished value. Plus, there really wasn't a major amount of damage. ...just replacing the front bumper cover, fender, wheel, and tire. So, it's just going to be left as is.

On a side note......

....anyone here interested in picking up some used Pedders coilovers?

Glad to hear this all worked out. Still getting used to seeing your car w/ a Z front end though.

Next time AutoX is in the works let us know down here. We'll come up. Or better yet let's do our own.
