From my experience, Eibach springs were only good for lowering the car and making the ride harsh.

To everyone in this forum, read "Chassis Engineering" by Herb Adams and he will explain how lowering the center of gravity of the car is great for handling, but increasing the spring rate is not always a good thing. So Eibach does one thing right (lowers the CoG, and one thing wrong (usually the springs are too stiff).

I will wait for a more thoughtfully constructed set of springs before I upgrade them (like Strano Springs, if they get into the 5th Gen stuff, or maybe Pafdt).

But first, I have to buy a 5th Gen!

Stiff springs are used for drag racing.

and Pedders is also making a suspension system which is a proven setup on the G8

No thanks I will stick with Pedders. They had direct access with the camaro through developement, and are the best way to go.

I’ve had great experiences with Eibach and other spring manufacturers, and I’m sure as the aftermarket gets in to full swing, the magazines will no doubt do several comparison articles. And this should give everyone a really good base to choose from.

Stiff springs in the front and soft springs in the back with an airbag (I don't know if this will apply to an IRS car, but it did for the 4th Gens with the live axle) on the side of the car that normally dips when accelerating HARD!

Would the pro-kit or the streetline-kit from eibach be recommended in this case?

I did not read it but does anyone have an idea what this or another company is charging for lowering springs?
