This is the email I received from Andy Archer event coordinator for the fbody event in Atlanta, Ga. about the ZL1 being at the show.

Wayne,
The best I can tell you is the request was submitted. The car is in high
demand. I may not know that it will/will not be there until day(s) before
the event.

I think he is saying that he plans on bringing it, as long as nothing happens to the car. But yes, I think the cat is coming out.

Scott, thanks for letting us know about the ZL1 coming to the fbodygathering. I know that we will not be able to drive the ZL1 but we will be allowed to sit in or just admire it from a distance, Thanks

I think a lot of people have no idea what goes into having these cars at shows. I remember getting the bug when the 2006 Camaro Concept came around. In such high demand it was still impossible to get the I think 3 cars to the shows. Even when Bumblebee was able to make the show's it was still a hard car to get to your show.
If I remember one of the Camaro's got ruined and had to get redone and it was turned red??

As far as we know the ZL1 is a one off. That cars got a very busy sch. Complaining about it being at this show or that show. Where it will reach thousands..or having a photoshoot for a magazine or TV or online show where it will be seen by hundreds of thousands or even millions. I would think GM is going to put its money time and cars where it will be seen.

Does it need to be seen at shows? Sure it does but again going back to the show circuit, the time it takes to get these cars there set up broken down and on to the next event its a very tight ship. Fbodyfather can attest to that.

If it comes to your area your are lucky to get a glimps of it if not..dont complain to GM. They are just doing what they can do.

Basically the ZL1 is like a rock band..sure you want them to play in your town but they are only one band and a time limit to be where they need to be.
