ADM Stage 2 Cam versus LG G6X3
We did a small comparison of our Stage 2 cam and the "FAMED" G6X3 and wow we we impressed:
Car: 2010 Camaro 2SS RS 6 SPD Manual ADM Race Intake,ARH Headers,Magnaflow 3",Ported Heads Milled .020. The G6 made considerable more power above 6k |

Without the ported and milled heads where do you think these cams would be?

I have driven with both these cams in my own car for over 6,000 miles each and the drivability is CONSIDERABLY diminished to gain 20 hp at peak.
If you are seeking pure power then 20 is 20 in anybodies world but at the expense of the drivability I persoanlly experienced it is NOT FOR ME.

LS3SSRS - I agree with you!! Only at the strip would you need RPM above 5500. Idle and overall drivability should count for picking a cam for a mostly street driven Camaro. It is great to have choices out there.

You made less then 500 with ported heads? Did a blind monkey touch them? Dynos arent all the same but I've seen that cam by itself push 500 with untouched heads.

On my dyno I saw 518rwhp 480 tq on a new Camaro!
It was very hard to believe it was a stock bottom end LS3!!!!! Very Impressive to say the least |

Whats it got to do with a vette? The reason the ADM cam doesnt make huge numbers is because it peaks so early. The G6X peaks a lot later, as soon as you start getting into the engine with a decent set of heads and throw in a cam that peaks around 6800-7000, people will easily see close to 550rwhp... but you arent going to get the huge numbers and performance with a cam that peaks at 56-5700 rpm, especially with quality ported heads. Don't get me wrong, I think ADM is doing great things, and their work and service seem to be top notch. But there is no sense of mystery as to why their offering isnt making the same numbers, they simply dont offer (off the shelf) a cam package that is large/radical enough to make huge numbers. Maybe they will in the future, but until then, customers who want to make the big numbers and arent afraid to spin their ls3 to/past 7 grand are going to go elsewhere. The LS3 makes somewhere around 350-380 rwhp bone stock. So your saying you can get at least 120 hp with just a cam??? I want to see the dyno on that...
