Volume is a "magic" word, these days. Is it "unholy" to consider an Automatic ZEE? Not likely MY cup of tea but, if it helps persuade "the powers that be" to build what WE want, so be it.
After all, who expected an Automatic ZL1, 'way back when? Without it, the ZL1 may not have seen the light of day... |

by the 3rd gen the Z28 had honestly lost it's way. just my opinion. and the 4th gens are why so many people are confused as to why the Z28 is wanted more than an SS.
