Tire Reviews
I didn't see anything like this on this site so i figured it could be helpful.
Rules: State the whole name of the tire Rate the overall tire in 1-5 Give a minimum of one complete sentenced for EACH pros and cons Tell whether you would buy again now i'll start it off i got a few reviews

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport with UNI-T
I give this tire a 5 The tire had great dry and wet traction, and great longevity even when drifted. Really their are no cons i drifted these tires and drove them down to the belts and still didn't blow out. I would definately buy these tires again!!!

This tire i give a 2 This tire had great dry and wet traction, i beat the crap outta these tires and they held up as good as you could expect them to, but do you wanna know what sucks about them... their only offered in 2 sizes

Solid 5 in it's category This tire is not a performance tire it's a daily driver tire and it's great at what it does dry wet and little bit of snow this gets me everywhere i need to go and best part i've got 71,000 miles on my set and i'm only at 5/32.. only complaint they have a pretty soft sidewall but their not performance anyways I'll keep buying these tires as long as i have a dailey driver

BFGoodrich G-force T/A KDW (new tread pattern)
5 + 5 + 5 +5 Superb wet and dry traction with deep wide grooves to disperse water. Has a traction grade of AA. Has reinforced sidewalls. Ive got over 20,000 miles on mine and they hook rain or shine. These are performance street tires and are priced very well for what you get. Also they have rim protector lips built in. I will continue to use these tires only when i replace the current ones i have, i will put the KDWs on the front and the KDW drag radials for the rear.

I really like BFG, had them on most of my cars, the Monte came with GY Eagles and I only have 13k miles so no sense swapping them.
I'd really like to see a set of sticky pirellis and what kind of #s the car could post on the skidpad and slalom |

Summitomo HTR Z (series)
Strong 4 for how much they cost they are great. Ive had Fuzion's BF Goodwrench, etc and they are just as good for less that 100 bucks each. I always get the ultra high performance summer(I lived in SE Georgia) , and used them on chicago roads in mid winter with no issues. in summer theres a noticable difference in handeling which is always welcome. the only con is that once they reach 50% you could end up needing a new set in a hurry if your hard on 'em. Ive bought them for the last 3 sets Ive needed. |

5 Pros REALLY grabs the road, I do a lot of canyon carving and this is very important Cons I don't have any, but passengers have complained about the rough ride

4.9 Pros: - Relatively decent traction in all conditions. - Insanely long tread life. Tread on the second set was still good at 80,000 miles when I sold the car, after beating on them the whole time. - Comfortable ride. Cons: - Requires higher pressure. Sloppy handling and uneven wear at the same pressure as other tires. Additional pressure makes them handle every bit as well as any other tire (for example, Toyo Proxes FZ4, which I directly compared them to). Not a problem for me, since I always run higher pressure anyway. - Not on the market anymore. I would definitely buy them again if I had the chance and had a car that I was keeping. I would even put them on my hypothetical Camaro. I'll have to look into those Fuzion HRi tires recommended by Stroker... --------------------------------------------------- Toyo Proxes FZ4 3 Pros: Decent tire. Cons: Expensive but do not stand out from other models. Dry handling was no better than the tires that came stock on my 1997 Grand Am SE V6, which may have been Goodyear Eagle RS, S, or ST (I can't remember, those Eagle models have useless names). --------------------------------------------------- BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A and Rugged Trail T/A 4 Pros: Good truck tires with decent traction, long treadlife and comfortable ride. Cons: Expensive.

3 Pros: Good traction, great wet weather handling cons: Horrible lateral stability and poor handling during cornering. Sidewall is way to soft for a sports car like the Camaro. |
