Hey all. I will definitely document these suggestions in our database where many departments of GM can access the information. Please let us know if you have any further questions, comments, or concerns.

I like it a lot also, you don't have to bend over to unlatch it. For what ever reason the lack in my ZL1 is much easier to work than my SS.

I like the placement of the latch. It's unique, gives a clean look to the side of the seat, and it is much easier for the passengers in the back to get themselves out with it being right in front of them. The Acura CL I had had the latches on the sides of the seat. Only problem with that was the passenger had to wait until I got them out.
idk if I'd go as far as saying the latch is a design flaw. They seatbelt holder unsnaps for the seat to go forward and doesn't stay attached, gives a cleaner look, and it's easier for those in the back to get in and out. I didn't like it at first, but I've noticed it is a lot easier IMO. |

I use my car for work, so my back seat has various samples and things in it. Right now I have a few milk-crate-type things back there and the rear of the front seat sits almost against them, blocking the latch. I have to either tilt the seat back forward or move the seat itself forward to even be able to get my fingers on the latch and to be able to have the room to pull it up.

I don't hate it, but it does require some acrobatics to reach it since my seat is far back. My sister inlaw's beetle has a nice ring shaped lever next to the head rest that releases the seat back and the whole seat base unlatches and pivots forward. Something similar would be nice for the 6th gen. At least as far as the release mechanism.

The first time I had to look for a while to find it but now that I know where it is, it's no problem. I suppose the left hand seat could be awkward to open with a left hand by someone holding a child or other things with their right hand. I have my seat full back and down all the time but I have quite long arms and I'm very agile so I've never noticed a problem releasing the seat back.
It sounds like I may be in the minority but I like the latch as it is. Maybe I'm just biased though because I like the car so much. |

Yes it annoys me, works great so people sitting back there can get out but no so well for getting in.
Also annoys me, when people mess up your seat trying to fold the seat up, they inevitably hit every lever or button before finding the right one. This happens more in my other vehicles than it does the Camaro.

If the seat is all the way back (like mine) your going to have to move it up either way because legs will not fit behind the seat all the way back.

I guess I'm the odd man out, I love the way it is. For some reason I like it and have no idea why.
