A stock 392 will drag a stock SS down the 1320. How do i know? I have both sitting in my garage. A 2013 392 manual and a 2010 LS3 SS. Even a 1LE with its better gears ect ect I doubt can catch a 392 once they are both out of the 60ft. Fan boys cry because truth hurts.

And I've never seen a G35 run faster then a 14.5 even modded...but it happens.

Yup that's exactly what I said. What's your point? I can "claim" I see camaros running 14's all night also. Point is unless you've driven both cars screaming from the sidelines doesn't mean anything.

My point was he talks about 392's beating on all SS's under any and all circumstances. That's simply not the case, times and drivers vary so widely.

And I reiterate, what's your point? In the scientific method two different drivers adds a unknown variable which cannot reproduce consistency. The only way to satisfy this is to have the same driver drive both cars then compare results. I've done that and the SRT8 is faster. Period. Throwing different drivers in the equation is like throwing in mods. A good driver will beat a bad driver, wow big surprise. That proves nothing.

I think most rational human beings realize that, taking the driver out of the equation, a 392 is going to be faster than an SS more often than not.

Pretty much. Introducing the driver into the equation is a red herring, we're comparing the cars, not the drivers or how they're driven. There's nothing that inherently makes either car more difficult or easier to drive than the other either.

I haven't looked at the magazine tests in a while, but did they all test manuals? The best I am seeing with a stock M6 is 12.685, which is about the same as the mags.

Only mainsteam media I know of that has tested an auto is edmunds and even those chimps got a 12.6.
