Does anyone else not like where the parking break is?

I mean like a lot of cars have a button near the steering wheel down by the bottom but it just looks like a giant 8====D on the passenger side

Next year modle will come without that piece off plastic covering the metal
No parking break needed
Imagine if someone engage it while driving at freeway speed
For safety reasons it will be gone for good

Imagine if someone opened the door and jumped out at freeway speeds. Door mod needed?
Imagine if someone grabbed the steering wheel at freeway speeds.

Is this like the old ejector button.. it said. DO NOT PUSH.. and if you did..

How much stupid-proofing do we have to do?

If you pull it hard enough at any speed, it will lock up the back tires. BUT you have to pull it hard and fast.

Thats where it is on most stick shift sports cars. Foot ones suck to use a lot had it in my 94 S-10 stick shift and the plastic near it was all scuffed and stained from using it in my work boats. If you have an automatic I can see it being useless and in the way for use with sticks its easy and convenient.

It looks like most other parking brakes. At least it's not between the driver and console.

And thank you for not referring to it as an emergency brake

Do you seriously not know what this means?

He was being facetious...

Also, it's in a good spot for manual, however I think a little bit shorter would make it easier to get some leverage. Maybe it's still stiff from being new or I just sit too far back, but I could see weaker people having trouble with it under resistance...
