Fortunately it was made before lunch... We turned off all boost control and it was an easy shakedown pass since I haven't driven the car since march...

We were sitting on the waste gate springs at 12 lbs, I short shifted every gear... And dumped the laundry to get a feel for that... Still went 195.x... It all felt good... Car settled down at the top of third gear, or the driver did, and I put the boots to her, still short shifted 4th and 5th... Crossed the finish line under power and tossed the chute... I didn't feel anything and was about at the point of panic, and was reaching for the break pedal. Just as my foot touched it, I thought for a second that I had locked up the brakes... But that wasnt the case... The chute finally deployed and hit... The only thing I can think of to describe it is falling out of a building into one of those big inflated landing pads... It wasnt violent, but it was damn sure there... The.car slowed so abruptly I had to give it gas and drive off the track as the chute would have completely stopped me had I not... I only touched the brakes to make the final turn off the track...

So, tomorrow, Saturday, well add the boost back in, springs in 1st and 2nd, about 20 lbs in third, 22-24 lbs in 4th and 5th... And see what happens... I'll also run the gears to the line and hope I hit between 205 and 220 for my last license level...it's supposed to rain tomorrow afternoon, so we may wait until Sunday morning and the put the nitrous bottles and heat em up... Adjust the boost a bit more and see what happens... Gonna get wild up in here..

There is a ton of photos in the forced induction v8 section, the thread is titled 4 cars over 4,000 horsepower. I'm going to be adding pictures and videos they're all weekend. If one of you guys with magic powers end up moving it please let me know where.

Nice!!! I know every mph is hard-fought at those speeds but I was expecting more with the adjustments he mentioned, was he still taking it "easy"?
