Catch can pre-install maintenance

I'm sorry if this is a repost but my phone is acting up and won't let me search the forums.

I'm about to finally buy an RX catch can for my '11 SS M6. She's got just over 7K on her.... is there anything I should do prior to putting the can on? I've heard sea foam on here months ago but don't know what that is.

I apologize for my lack of car engine knowledgein advance.... jet engines are my specialty lol.

Sea foam is a general cleaner for fuel tanks, injectors, and such. You do not need that before installing a catch can.

Sounds good... my roommate does a seafoam treatment or what have you to his intake every oil change on his truck to clean it that's partly why I asked.

If he installed the catchcan on his truck he would not need to anymore (or at least not for 50-100k miles). The passenger cars and light trucks usually see a small increase in fuel economy as the detonation thats eliminated means the ECU isnt pulling timing and can allow the motor to run more efficiently.
