Yep. $150-200 is reasonable, especially considering tips are included... even though he doesn't want the tips.

If the shop installs an x-pipe tomorrow, what difference will that make? Also, what about removing resonator or adding new headers? If yjis sounds stupid, don't bash me for it! I don't know these things, which is why I am seeking help and advice from each of you! You all understand what happened here and what I was looking for, it's unfortunate but I suppose $250 was reasonable for this after all, but if it was done incorrectly, I guess i'm entitled to some money back or at least some other work or something.

I don't think so. You need to get those tips off first. My tips are maybe 8" long, and roughly the same diameter as my exhaust. I would almost put money on those things making your exhaust sound bad.

Best solution is to find a good performance exhaust shop and get some performance mufflers on there....quick.

The more you remove the more back pressure you loose. until you have some sort of muffler that creates the needed pressures you need to leave at least that x pipe in. headers will gain you very little for how much you will spend...

An axle back has nothing at all to do with exhaust velocity. You don't need backpressure. You don't want backpressure. Where was he spot on?

Ok, so first thing I will do is make them take these tips off and put back stock ones that I have here, still connected to old mufflers.

Backpressure just makes it harder for the engine to evacuate a spent fuel cycle. You don't want backpressure. His catted midpipes are where most of his restriction comes from. The axle back is irrelevant.

They could hack the mufflers out and replace them with pipe. That's what I would expect out of a muffler delete.

The mufflers are already out... I mean there sitting here on the floor with stock tips on them. So I want them to take these stock tips and put them on instead of the too big ones that are on right now!

Correct sir! Your choice whether to put the mufflers back on too. I'm not seeing much good about the muffler delete on the V6 in a quick search...

removing the mufflers DOES effect back pressure and you DO want back pressure. that is where he is correct

Why would you want backpressure? Give me one good reason.

Ok. I saw some videos where the v6 with delete sounded like a street hot rod choppy, my goal, then I saw some videos where the delete sounded like a honda, no rumble muscle car tone(what I have) and all these vieos I checked out were on V6's like mine, its very confusing. I would love to know how different it would sound with my old tips on and a resonated x pipe added nad keep mufflers off. But I guess I will never know so I will probably just take my loss of money, have the old mufflers put back in and that will be that!
