Maiden voyage song - 2.0.

Yeah that's right. I'm reviving the Maiden voyage song thread. This one's new and improved though. Those of you who already have your new Camaro, share with us what you listened to, where you went, what was going through your head, on your very first drive off the lot with your new addiction!

And for those of you like me who don't have theirs yet, tell me what you plan to do when you drive it off the lot. Song, destination, thoughts, all of it!

As for me: I've got a few songs in mind..

Metallica - Fuel
Metallica - Breadfan
Van Halen - Panama (Hell yeah Superbad Upward spiraling pigtail scene!)
Rob Zombie - Black Sunshine

And last but not least...

Deep Purple - Highway Star

I'll bite (and keep it short).

First, good choices in songs... although I prefer older Metallica.

Anyway, I picked my car up at around 3pm in the afternoon Nov. 6th. Took about 1/2 hr to get all the paperwork finished and what seemed like forever for them to bring MY Camaro around front.

Dealer pulled it up (she looked a little nervous driving it). Gave me the OnStar intro (bla bla bla)... all I could do was look around at the inside of MY Camaro. Gauges, buttons, knobs, switches.... mmm the smell of a new car with 3 mi. on it!!!

Ok, lecture is over... OnStar is OffStar. Dealer thanks but, get out! And off I went in MY Camaro.

I admit I was ill prepared when it comes to music, but it came with 3 months of XM, why not take advantage now. First song my radio dial got stuck on was Radar Love. It turned out to be a beautiful afternoon, I had 35 miles to get home and I enjoyed every second of it.

The remaining music is a blur... alot of dial twisting. I do recall turning off the radio all together to just listen to the sound of the 400hp engine roar!

(How did I know there would be a YouTube video of a camaro to the song Radar Love?)

You knew you couldn't resist replying to this.

I've got a feeling I'm gonna shut off the radio to hear mine too on that day.

I should be picking my up any day now...just waiting for the dealer to receive the money from my bank...

I think I'll probably test it out with a couple opposites; I want to try a few heavier songs to get a feel for the bass of the system. I'm thinking "IMN" by Mudvayne or "Gently" by Slipknot since it has so much bass.

On the other end, I have a few really nice Operas that I'll pop in there -- Pagliacci...Turnadot.

I listen to a lot of different music, so this car will be well versed.

I honestly can't remember what was on the radio when I drove off the lot. The salesman had it on the Grateful Dead channel, I do remember that.

Went to show my girlfriend how good the BA sound system sounded, plugged in the ipod, and I Can't Drive 55 by Sammy Hagar came on. LOL ! Seemed like a natural fit.

I have an entire playlist already setup on my iPod just so when I buy mine, it will be ready to go. I named that list, "Hell yeah".

White Zombie - La Sexorcisto album - that's coming off the lot; i'll probably shut it off after about 3 songs

Going to drive the Cabot Trail In Cape Breton Nova Scotia (weather permiting).

And i dun't wanna run into that BIG guy at all...stay away Mr Moose....

** Side note, when i sat in the car at the dealership, I turned on the radio and "dirty deeds..." by AC/DC came on; without me even turning to the Boneyard....i that point the deal was sealed...

DAMN I'd love to drive on the roads in those pictures. I'm gonna have to find someone who knows great places for taking road trips eventually...

I had the radio OFF. Listened to the 400 ponies and checked for clunks and rattles. Haven't driven her much in this crappy Jersey weather.
Soon it'll more than likely be The Beatles, The Long and Winding Road.
