Here's my recent run at VIR full course, 2:18:55. Trying Turn 1/2 differently - not tracking out to full left, but staying slow and tight on the apex and then nailing it as soon as I am near straight. Also trying a different trick on the front straight - staying left until passing the hashmarks on the RHS barrier and THEN turning in, which gives you a shallower apex around the kink and makes 130+MPH curve more doable at lower lateral G's.
Sorry for video quality. Spent a lot of time with the software vendor and he figured out that Apple had changed some of the autofocus lock settings. His new software version coming out soon will adapt to the new autofocus settings and let us lock focus on infinity more effectively. BTW IIRC, that's a $120k built forged Boss 302 ahead of me that I am comfortably hanging with. http://youtu.be/d5aoFrRwbWo

FYI on the uphill S's my goal is to maintain 100mph throughout (am pretty close), and am probably hitting 135-140 on the back stretch and low 130's on the front.

It was nice and warm this time so I got a chance to really let the car slide some without worry about it bitting me. I use to run bikes there and when I would run on a really good R compond the tire was slip some without letting go. I front tires felt like that going into some of the tight hard braking turns like 1 and the oak tree turn.

Looks like September or later. I can't make the 11th of July with the Rezoom guys. I can only run on weekends most of the time. I am keeping and eye on all the different groups. I really like the Track Daze, MVP track time, Hooked on driving and Rezoom. They are not really into instruction as much as others. There was a group of BMWs there this weekend and I have a friend I would have loved to go run with but they don't allow and timing devices at all.
I really want to go back to Road Atlanta also. I loved that track also.

I spent 7/9 and 7/10 on-track at Watkins Glen with the Delaware Valley Chapter of BMW CCA. Here's three laps for your viewing pleasure. If I can ever get the heel-toe downshift down it should help my lap times even more.

Still not setting any records, but beat my recorded personal best yesterday by 6 seconds on a HOT Virginia International Raceway! As I mention in my video description, there were a TON of painfully slow drivers out there and a clean track for a full timed lap was a rarity. Even this lap I lost a little time due to the BMW. He was a very nice guy and no doubt I'd have nothing for a car with 150 more HP than my SS and a driver who knew the track. But I didn't get a good launch out of Hogpen and on to the front straight and I lifted a little around the kink not knowing exactly what he was going to do, so that cost me a little.

I LOVE THE NEW AVATAR
Not sure how many times you have done that track, but you got a lot better about 7min in. You seem to be missing the corner with the Double apex ( I think it is called the "firehouse bend"). Looks like you let off too early and then stay in the middle of the whole thing... could be the camera angle though. Nice Job
