1LE Front License Plate Questions - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Sorry if this has been covered somewhere but the Tags just came in for my 2015 1le. I live in TX where they require a front license plate

. The Plate holder that came in my trunk requires me to drill into my bumper which at this point I am refusing to do. I have seen some front plate holders online and in the camaro5 forum but not sure if they will work because of the front splitter. If anyone has any advice, or a link to a thread that might helpful please let me know. Oh and feel free to bash all states that require a front plate. Thanks for your replies.

JacFab makes a bracket for the 1LE.

Make sure you choose the right year/style.

Also, ZL1Addons.com is producing a front plate bracket that goes into their tow hook receiver.

I just used zip ties to connect it for no cost and no drilling.

i put mine on the floor in the back seat, no holes required

Unfortunately that is illegal for those states that require front plates :P

+1 for JacFab, I bought one and installed it in less then 5 minutes. The bracket itself is solidly built and well worth the money, as an added bonus it will make contact with the ground first vice the front splitter should you be entering or exiting a bad driveway...

I use this one, as I wanted the tow hook option as well:

Fit is good, I had to adjust a bit with some washers to get it to sit correctly, but really I have no complaints (other than hating to have a front plate, lol)

I just installed the 1LE splitter and I have an electric retractable plate. I have only raise it to clean it. Check eBay, doesn't matter what car they say it's for, it will work. Little pricey but at least u can put ur plate up with the push of a button
