Sorry to get off track with the current discussion, but I was wondering if anyone could help me, or more specifically my dad, out. He has been a forklift mechanic at what used to be Clarklift, now Indylift, for the past 28 years. He just found out late last week that after this Friday, they are closing their doors and he will be out of a job.

He has worked on many different makes of lift including Clark and Linde, with his specialty being rebuilding transmissions. He also does most of the work on all of my family's vehicles. I don't know specifically what certifications he has, but I was hoping with all the people here who appear to work in similar fields, that maybe someone was hiring or would have some good leads for him to follow.

Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated!

I'll keep an eye out but not in my field either.

On another note, anyone know a good paint/body shop around here. I've heard some good some bad but looks like I'm going to be getting a new hood and will need some painting done.

I appreciate you guys keeping an open ear, but now there are rumors that someone else may buy out the company, or at least that they will stay open a few more weeks. All I can do is hope and pray that the situation will turn out well for my dad. Still, if anyone comes up with any leads, go ahead and pass them our way!

I had some scratches on my RS a few weeks ago and they took it right in and rubbed them out. I was shocked that they got rid of them so easy and did not charge me a dime. They have been in Oaklandon for thirty years and very reputable family body shop! Check em out.

Damn sure did and you have a race car. Like I said, all we needed was(Danny) Dragom out there in the street with his yellow shirt on and blowing his whistle moving and warning people that we were coming through. Damn your car is fast, quick (and there is a difference) and loud when you get on it, and start up, and giving it the gas, and putting it in reverse, and drive. I loved it though! BadA$$ man! My neighbors would kill me!

There is a new building they just threw up on CR900S right there by the Pendleton State Police post. I was told they make or manufacture dog food. Bottom line is it's a warehouse of sorts and every warehouse has a forklift. I would suggest he personally go there and see what they have. I don't have a name but in these times, I suggest people personally going into businesses with with a resume and asking while leaving your contact info. I'd also hit the Finishline on Mitthoeffer as well as Reebok there off I70 and post, Brightpoint too. Have to hit it running my man. Thank God criminals have kept me employed for 30yrs. Not funny but the truth. Good luck and I'll keep my ears open. Also get him on Monster and some of the other sites as well as the state employment site. Also Carbon Motor will be in Richmond. Got to hit it running.
