I've seen a few places that some dealerships are getting multiple cars for the unveiling. Is this true??

Maybe

Your dealer may get an extra at the Phillies game May8 ... but that would be post unveiling.

My dealer is getting four non-ordered cars for the unveiling.....I can't wait to go beat the shit out of one of those V6 cars!

Umm.. what happened to 1 V6 per dealer? I'm guessing this is why everybody is getting their build weeks pushed back? Just build our damn pre-orders already. wtf

Seriously, the way the pre-order scenario is unfolding is re-god-damn-diculous. It really is patronizing to the people who ordered in October and are still sitting at 1100 if they are churning out several show cars per dealer - that makes no sense. I can see one car per dealer taking priority, but that's it. I know that once I finally get my car, I will still look back on the way that they handled the pre-order process and general launch with disappointment.

It really seems like they're trying to keep dealers happy and their pockets lined instead of helping out the end consumers.

Which is so ass-backwards because the dealers should be doing whatever they can to keep GM happy since hundreds will be disappearing over the next few weeks.

As I told my wife....if I don't see any movement on my car in the next 3 to 4 weeks (still at 1100) then I am going to buy something else. I am passed upset about this whole thing. And quite honestly, it shouldn't matter how many "allotments" your dealer has. I pre-ordered it....get it to the people that ordered by the date they ordered it...sheesh. It is total BS!

I'm frustrated with the whole situation too, but this is the one and only car I've ever waited years and years for...and the first car i've ever "pre-ordered"...so I'm not going to cancel my order...I think I'll just keep taking shots at how crappy this whole allocation process is until my dealer finally gets their 1 car

I very strongly recommend that you dont buy anything else, and here's why:

If you buy something else, how will you feel when you finally see this beautiful car on the road? I asked myself this question about a month ago, when I was seriously considering cancelling my order and buying a vette. The only thing that stopped me is, I knew that if I saw one of these cars on the road, I would hate myself for not holding on.

I did dealer tracking for the Houston area. One dealership had a car last week and it does not show up on there now. So I assume it has been deliverd. Last night Lonestar Chevrolet had 2 1LT and 2 2LT on the locater. How does one dealership in Houston get 4 cars and noone else has one?
