Why? So you could wait another year, buy this and get bummed out then when they annouce another version in 2014.

You're gonna love the 2SS, enjoy for the next year, You can modify it any way you want to. I'm about to hit three years in my 2SS and have loved every minute of it.
So glad I didn't wait three years for a "Z28" like some on here have.

And they still wait.

You made a good decision.

I think that this is a targeted model to a select group..........not everyone's gonna like it and it wasn't really meant to be a mainstream Camaro........like an SS or an LT..........
Someone I know compared the 1LE/SS relationship to the Grand Sport/ZR1 relationship.

So.........I'd rather 'err' on the side of allowing people to choose options.

I don't see that as a "fail"........

So when can we turn an optioned 1LE into a Z/28?

I will add this one last note....if I hadn't ordered my ZL1 already...and this was...oh, July 2012 - where both are available? I'd have a REAL hard time deciding which option to take. And I think the more we know about the 1LE, the more I'll feel that way.
Ahhhh....I remember this conversation with you.

And now? Yep....it happened. But, you have EVERYTHING with your ZL1. No way in hell I'd be unhappy with that. You are one lucky dude, Joe. And...you have patience like no other. I...have a TON of respect for you on that one. While I probably never would have been able to save like you for the ZL1, this could have been doable if I hadn't have gotten the SS.

I'm happy with what I have, but I'm so damn sad I can't jump into this...:(

Not a "fail" at all...not in the least.

One person who's upset that these are...."OPTIONS".... I don't get it either. But, majority loves the idea. That's....all that matters.

FWIW, you have to add these things. Don't stop someone from ordering what they want...because you know the majority of the orders that come in are going to be fully loaded.

On that side note, I'll never forget that day at Tom's picking up my Camaro. Pure tears of joy...

I'll love my SS forever. But this 1LE? It ain't right Scott. I WANT ONE. And THAT is making this tough. I mean, I'm actually sitting here thinking about how much I could get for my car and how much I could get for all the parts if I put it back to stock. Unfortunately, I promised Dana that the next new car goes to her...her Tahoe. So, I need to fulfill that obligation first. But, this is going to be on my list in the event something "happens."

For now, I'm going to do what it takes to get that mylink installed in my 2010 along with the side skirts and front splitter. Gotta have them.

Good job on pulling this one off, GM. You have going to sell a TON of these. If I didn't have my SS right now, I'd pick one up in a heartbeat.

Maybe 2 people in this world still want a stripped-down Camaro. It just doesn't make sense to produce and market one.

and the Z28 isn't coming until the 6th gen. Think about it. Why would GM come out with a Z28 that's only going to last a couple of years. That's a lot of dough for a two year run. If they are smart, they will save that Z28 moniker for a brand new 6th gen and put it on the newly redesigned Camaro to surprise the world.

Man.... this is starting to feel like the good old Roger Penske / Mark Donohue "now we're getting serious" days. If I didn't already have my SS tricked out the way I like it I'd be all over this like crazy. What a great starting point for modding!

Curious as to what the pricing is going to be....

So other than the appearance aspect of this package, it doesn't have much over say getting a set of coil overs from Pfadt and some sway bars? Oh and some wider tires?

If there's more it'd be tempting to trade my SS in for one, as I always wanted a 1LE car for my 4th gen but never found one. But if it's that easy to just mod my SS to keep up with the 1LE I'll just keep the SS since I've already done a few mods to it.
