Thank you all for the feedback. I am going to try this suggestion because I really do not want the plaque on the back of my car anymore. It is a nice one and all but just do not want it there. I wish I would have had them take it off the day I picked the car up but ... oh well! Hopefully it will not leave a mark or scuff the paint in any way.

Others have stated using the same thing but;
I removed my 4runner badges, of course off of my 4runner, after they were on for 16 years. Anyway, I used a blow dryer and dental floss. Heat it up a bit and "saw" through the epoxy. Bug and tar remover maybe to get the rest of the epoxy off. Just remember to clean and wax the area when done. You can slightly see where they were, but again, after 16 years.

I bought the car on a Tuesday night (NO STICKER), and picked it up on Wednesday (STICKER). Just asked to remove it, and they did without a fight.

I asked to make sure they didnt put a decal or something on. My salesman said, "no, we don't. I hate when we get a trade-in in and there is a decal on there. We put on a license plate frame, and thats all." So I did have a license plate frame for about a week, until i got my "CAMARO RS" frame from chevymall.com.

Mine was a chrome decal. Took a few minutes with dental floss and it came right off. No biggie.

This is how it's done. Use a paint safe adhesive remover and you will be fine, as long as you don't try to "pry" the thing off there should be no way to tell it was ever there. The adhesive will take some rubbing with the adhesive remover solvent. Good luck!
