I know this is about the c7 and ive yet to run one. But I can easily put a car length on my buddies c6 ls3 in the 1/4 mile with bolt ons. Being that the c6 is a 12.5 car. Id say if you if you can drive and get a good launch itll be close. Now that I'm cammed he doesn't even try me.

I've never tracked either car & don't plan to. I just love playing & building cars bud I don't care about what or who is faster just as long as I have a big smile on my face while I'm playing around.

But yeah its a dog the Camaro is 4000+ set up for turbos/E85 & has neither at this time on top of a start up tune. The C7 is 3300+, made 415 rwhp on light weight wheels & stickey tires. You can go on you tube & watch a bone stock C7 running a fully bolt on C6 & pull away every time also.

Of course your Camaro is gonna be a monster when boosted!!

About C6 LS3 vs C7, Im sure a boltons C6 will pull pretty easily on the C7. If not, something is wrong. Look at the C6 fast list, they are very close stock for stock. The new LT1 is stronger but a base C6 Vette weights less. The lastest LS3 dyno in the 385-400rwhp range. Theyre so many bad running cars on youtube ita not even funny; all I see lately are 13s@109-112mph zl1..what a joke!!!

stock C7s with the A6 are running 11.7
stock C7s with the A8 are running 11.5

To get a stock SS Camaro to run those times in a straight line you would either need a stroker build with a big cam, headers, ported everything and full exhaust plus tb and cai making some serious steam at about 575-600 at the wheels plus drag radials.

Or forge and put a supercharger on with a cam and full exhaust plus headers and drag radials to run similar times I'd bet. That's a lot of money.

I am with the guys that haven't tracked - but one on the highway found me and slowed down next to me, it was an auto with a woman driving looking over at me smiling and her husband in the passenger seat. Poor couple probably didn't realise I am not stock. she floored, I Dropped to second and pulled probably 2 lengths before halfway in 3rd, she let off at about 3-4 lengths. I am at roughly 630rwhp, street tires.

Best part is - a few weeks later the same car pulled up to me at the gas station, just the husband, we recognized each other and he said "you definitley aren't stock...." lone behold he just bought that car for his wife, and he is on the waiting list for a C7 Z06...lucky bastard, had a hot wife too.

Hope this helps!

Stock A6 C7 has run 11.4x
Stock A8 C7 has run 11.3x

Full bolt on 5th gen SS's have run 11.4x.
No way does a 5th gen need a stroker and/or 575-600RWHP to run mid 11's. Bottom end doesn't need to be touched period. Doesn't need FI either. At most it needs a cam and full bolt ons.

Full bolt on LS3 or L99 isn't going to hit 11.5s. Prove me wrong but I'd like to see some timeslips and mod list of those doing that.

Camaro is only a couple hundred lbs lighter than a 392 Challenger and I know what it takes for a 392 to run 11.5s. Camaro would need some work done to keep up with a C7.

As far as those C7 times you quoted, I'd like to see those times as well unless you consider CAI, Tune and Exhaust "stock". I have not seen a C7 A6 run faster than 11.60. There's been 1 or 2 hero runs of a A8 C7 that ran 11.3s. Most are running 11.5.

Here you go. Really should know what your talking about before posting. Maybe do some research. Name: image.jpg

Size: 327.9 KB if you want to know more about the top 2 cars we do have a drag strip section. Camaro does need some work to keep up with a bone stock C7 (as mentioned in the original post) but not more than full bolt ons and a cam at most. Nothing like what you quoted.

I consider stock bone stock. Right down to the tires and there have been at least 2 bone stock C7's run below 11.5 and the car hasn't even been out all that long.

I wasn't considering slicks and converters in my head at the time so my bad on that. I could possibly see mid to high 11s if they had a stall + slicks pulling like 1.5 60fts.

I looked up info on a run that 'trw427ss' did. He runs at a track that is 15 ft above sea level with DAs almost hitting -1000. Explains the runs.

Even a full bolt on and cammed ss (like mine) will take a whole lot to run with a stock corvette please dont fool yourself. Mine is pushing 478 to the rear and I'm a good driver and it would take a whole lot plus a fair driver in the c7 for me to win. 2 different animals
