Car at the dealership
Well took my Camaro into the dealership today when I was doing the Muffler delete notices some oil on the rear Diff so I'm having them look to see if the seal is ok and to look at my Drive shaft loud vibration noise when I shift from R-1 and 1-2 at a slow speed been 1 hour and I feel lost

I took mine in complaining of two noises, the first being a loud clunk when engaging the clutch and the second being a roar that resembles the sound of a carrier bearing going out.
Well they stated that the clunk was common to all m6 cars and that they could not duplicate the roaring noise. I asked if they had put it on a lift and checked the driveline and they stated that they had and found nothing. A few weeks later I was under the car installing a skip shift eliminator and found that two of the three bolts that hold the driveshaft to the transmission output were loose. After tightening these the worn carrier bearing noise has gone away. |
