Pretty sick times. How do you feel about the engine reliability on one of these things?

Also what difference do you think it would make on pump gas with mods like that?

Keep it coming!

It is the only way to prove what works. 108 mph in the 1/8th! I am very pleased.

Yes, I need to tweak one area of the tune and it will go 1.52 or better.

The block and crank are fine. The mains will just slightly "walk" without studs at this power level.
The bearings are not really an issue either but after market with a trued up block will wear longer. The rods have proven to be stout so that just leaves the pistons.
Keep the fuel to it first and foremost, then make sure knock is not a big issue. I run about 11.25:1 afr and log each run. The window is narrower but if everything is monitored, it will live for years before needing to be freshened up or and won't blow up. If you want to go fast and keep it together at this power level it takes a lot of attention to detail.

Pump gas was about 25 hp less but I can really get after the timing on the big end.

Man...if you hit 9's, that's COPO territory. This is truly an all around amazing car. I don't care what anyone says, This IS an American Supercar, not just a pony car/sports car.

Get that torque converter and you are in the 9's! Have you changed the rear gears yet?

There is no need to change the gears. I will try for 9's again with good weather and possibly get that Converter ordered.

I hope to make it down to NC and do some track time and see your car.
So much potential with these cars, what a great time to be a car enthusist. I remember when I had my Buick Grand National we had some nice aftermarket upgrades, but we have so many more options now i'm like going through my second childhood.

Not giving in yet. This combo has not been maximized but we are getting close. That 10:2 was hot lapped after a trans adjustment. With DA 1000 lower and double the change I just made, it will improve. The MPH is there. I am also adding 1 degree to the launch to get it to 60.

This is just awesome to watch. Your going to be hitting Switzer GTR territory soon in a 60k Camaro

I know I sent you a PM but I am curious how much do you think weight reduction AC Delete Sparco S Lights Back Seat Delete Carbon Fibre interior and light weight wheels (possible speaker delete) will help times on this? Is it feasible to expect a .3 increase with heavy weight reduction?

There was a modded GTR at the track Friday night. We kept going back and forth on who was faster and the track announcer is a master instigator. I laid down a 10:43, he went 10:40. I went 10:29, he went 10:25. At the end of the night I went 10:24 to his 10:25. Winner, American muscle.

You can take 200 lbs off this car pretty easily. I am not doing that though.
