Question about insulator.

Since the was an extra 20 or 25 HP gained from the mase insulator is that how GM gained the extra HP for the lfx? The intake manifold is plastic. So it being plastic is just as good as the insulators for the LLT. I ask this because couldn't we buy the lfx intake manifold?

You are right about the LFX manifold adding the extra power.

But I think Tracy has looked into adding it onto an LLT and I believe there was something about it that made it incompatible.

It's because the LFX doesn't have heads - it has one giant outlet. Which is why 2012 guys can't buy headers. The single outlet produces more power and gets better gas mileage. Don't know how, but it does.

from when i saw tracy and he installed my catch can. i was explained that is not plastic its aluminum and it reduces heat. keeping the throttle bodies/engine cool(cant remember which he said) hence to giving you more horse power

The single outlet may help, but its hard for me not to believe the new intake manifold doesn't make a difference as well.
