As for Limp mode, It would all depend on what the code is. Usually the tests and light are killed. I would imagine that if the tests were not turned off that you could go into limp mode, however Ive not heard anybody here that has not had their check engine light killed having that problem. I would not be surprised if it happened though.

I don't like the CEL because it prevents my remote start from working.

I have a bluetooth ECM reader so I check my codes regularly. Nothing odd in over a year.
I have a LS3 so no remote start The seatbelt is around my neck when in driving position. I'm 6'4, 360lbs, I've always worn one in every other car, but I've bought rare earth magnets and tried supergluing the strap and it still breaks loose and lets the seatbelt ride around my neck so I quit trying.

What more input do you need to know? Anything specific?
Long tube Texas Speed Headers with the off-road pipes. Disconnected the rear o2 sensors from the body harness and used the stock slip joints to connect the catless pipes to the stock exhaust. I already had a muffler delete, and since my car is a manual I don't have the center resonator. Yes, I have a CEL. No, it doesn't bother me. No tune, AFR read at the tips is 12.3-12.7 at WOT.

I was keeping my warranty intact. My dealer had no problem with the headers but would void me for a tune. Now that I'm out of warranty I will get a tune. There's no one in my town that does it and this is my only car so I can't drop it somewhere.

Ok I understand. When your ready for a tune, depending on what system you decide to use, I would recommend Matt from FSP for a remote tune. If you want a mail order tune Phil from Tampa tuning is good too.
