I guess that just depends on what you like about each car.
If the performance is what thrills you, then go for the Z06. If it is having a "rare" car from the public aspect, it's a toss up to me. Just keep in mind that your average joe can't tell the difference between a base and a ZO6. For me, it is about the styling and engineering. The performance just adds a bonus thrill. I like the Vette's styling, but IMHO, it has lost it's American idenity. It looks very Italian-esque. This new generation of pony cars, with the Camaro as King, has American written all over them and has sparked a new interest in cars for me. In short, I love the Camaro because it appeals to me. I don't care if there was one on every street corner, it is still the best looking car on the affordable market (and that includes the Vette in my book). .

they dont make the gt-r with a manual?!?!?!?!
unless you need the backseats...go with the vette...it depends on what your gonna be using the car for....in my opinion if i could afford the vette i would get something else...like a bmw m3 fully loaded...i woulda got the gt-r like you were gonna but i didnt know they didnt come stick...thats just weird...are you sure about that?

Seriously? Really? The Camaro is really cool but come on now. The Vette is better unless you're just hooked on Camaro like most of us are. I don't need a car, I am not in the market for a car but it's the new Camaro so I have to buy it. But unless you're just like me, get the Vette.

Being a C5 owner, it's no brainer...I would go with the '09 Z06...though I do love the Camaro's "new" retro look...

Depends on your wants and needs. I mean for me it would be a no brainer, Z06 all the way. But for you it's obviously not a no brainer since you didn't just snap to that decision like I would. So you must be looking to balance practicality (back seat) or price with performance. Don't get the Camaro because you think it will be unique or rare- it won't be. Remember these cars start under 25k. Z06 = rare

I thought this year's GTR added a manual transmission as an option? I know the first year was automatic only but I'm pretty sure the 2010s can have 6 speeds
