i LOVE it, any cops here think this would be illegal? maybe someone will mistake the outside for the car braking and mess up because of it

All taillights need to be DOT (Department of Transportation) approved and have a sticker. If a housing/lens is not DOT approved, then it is not legal, simple as that. He'd have to submit the design and see if he could get it approved if you wanted it to be legal on the streets. Not sure about Qatar though.

oh i wont be in qatar for long im talking about america and canada for when im in uni

Somebody put up a post of a statute somewhere talking about the requirements that need to be met to have legal tail lights. They have to visible at night from some distance. Can't remember the deets but this light looks like it will be good especially since the middle lights up upon braking.

Cuz I've only installed that one prototype unit so far!

Barring any more surprises, all four should be installed in time for our season-opening club meet tomorrow!

I pulled the fed regs and found that brake light output only needs to be 80 candelas on the low-end and that there must be a "difference" in light output between normal and braking.

HOLD ON NOW!!!! All of you guys kicked, begged, complained, and damn near committed corporate espionage to make these lights a reality! Now that someone did it, now you're all worried about them being street legal!!!! Man, start selling these lights Tony, Ill be first in line to get these picked up.....Hope the cops have fun chasing me on my way home too. HA!
