What do you get, besides instant gratification, for getting the car now? Are you saving $$? I bought my 2010 w/ 48 miles on it, just before the 2011 came out, and saved $10K.
IHO, cancel the order, negotiate a money saving deal on the available car then GO PICK IT UP, put the miles on it however YOU want too. Either way, you will love your new car, enjoy! |

Well i went to the dealer today and looked at the car. The salesman was very nice about it and threw me the keys as soon as i walked in and told me to go see what i thought. I walk out there and see her! There's only 2 problems. Right at first glance i realized the wheels were not the 20 inch polished aluminums that i wanted. Then upon further inspection, there was a bad scratch on the passenger side mirror. I was pretty upset, and was about to walk back in and tell the dealer i'd just stick with my order but he met me halfway sayin he had watched me and wanted to see whats up. I told him about the wheels and he freaked out apologizing and saying how he didn't understand how he had let it slip. He said he could just switch them out with a 2011 SS they had on the lot so that made me feel a bit better. Then when i showed him the scratch he said he would just order another one and get it put on no charge for me of course...The car was 83 miles away, when i got in it for the test drive it had 94. Doesn't seem like it was test driven much at all!!! I'm really glad about that, and let me tell you that thing will go!! The HUD is probably the coolest/most useful thing i've ever seen in a car. I loved everything about it especially the metallic color glinting in the sunlight!! I've gotta say i'm very tempted to jump on this baby.

Stick with the order sometimes things happen for the best for those who wait...and plus isnt the wait time like a month now? some of us waited 2 months to 8 months before we even got our cars imagine how we felt...

tick tock, tiick tock around goes the hands of the hour clock
Good Luck with your final decision...................I'd offer that any new vehicle transported hunderd or even thousands of miles on the back of an auto carrier could eventually end up with a cosmetic scratch, easliy fixed during pre delivery detailing. Wheel and Tire combo switching is common as well, no big deal there............and 93 miles on the odometer and there are no visable problems, leaks, ie.................could imply, there are no problems to be had otherwise.
Today's the first day of the rest of our lives...........living it large in a new Camaro with a grin on your chin, pricelss, and today won't repeat itself either, theres something to think about.................... |

I had the same situation happen to me. My car was already on order, & my salesman told me he had a 1LT R/S that a customer returned as he changed his mind. I told my salesman I was going to wait since I was already half way waiting for a fully loaded 2LT R/S Camaro. I think it's better to wait to get everything you wanted & ordered, keep telling yourself it's only a couple of more weeks to wait.

Your ordered car may come with a scratch too. Or a tree could fall on it at the dealer.
There are a lot of "ifs" that could happen. If the dealer is making it right by you then pick it up. Heck try to get a couple hundred more off the sticker cause it had the scratch. Can't hurt to ask. Also, it's just a camaro. It's not a veyron or a ferrari or something. heck my pickup was more than my camaro. |

Depends how picky you are. I had my dealer not touch my car as far as "cleaning", removing the plastic and vinyl wrap. Didn't want it scratched by their kid-with-a-dirty-mit during PDI. The car they will dealer transfer may already have paint chips and probably has fine scratches.

This thread crack me up.... Get it... You will be able to inspect the car, test drive the car and by the way, it has the EXACT same warranty...
I don't really see the point in waiting, but to each their own... |

Some of the folks who test drive these things are snot-nosed punks or 40+ year old adolescents who think test drives mean stunt driving. Most of the dealers here for test drives just throw a plate on them, hand you the keys, and don't bother going with you. What does that spell, children? Can you say, "130+mph test drives and smoking the tires off." Good, I knew you could. |

If it's exactly what you want and he's going to put the 20's on it and fix the mirror. get it. you won't have to wait.
