Power steering failure again
Well I know this has been talked about alot in an earlier thread including my own experiances. Just wanted to say took the ZL1 out for its first emmission test last week. The weather was pretty hot mid 90's and on the way back from being tested the power steering went out again. This is after about an hour or so of driving the ZL1. After sitting at work for a few hours the power steering came back on again. I'm just very frustrated at this point my cars been to the dealer twice last year and had the gears associated with the power steering replaced two times. T and T performance looked at the car last fall and could not get the power steering to act up. I would think that they would spot any problems associated with a grounding or electrical issues.
Fortunately this is not the car I depend on to get to work every day. Any suggestions would be appreciated to resolve this problem, thx.

Have you removed/reinstalled or moved any grounds?

I have not but T @ T performance would have when they modified the car back in the fall of 2013. They have modified an number of ZL1's including the one Tim himself drove, with no issues that i'm aware of.

Sounds like the emissions guys may have inadvertently messed it up. I believe Boothe is right about the ground. Check some of the past threads on this.

The hood was never opened during the emmission testing procedure. They basically have a sensor placed in the tail pipe and they give it some gas during the testing and get a computer read out. The paper slip has all the reading and wether the car passes the state guild lines for emmissions.
This problems tends to be associated with the temperature more than any other variable I can think of. I'm at a lost on what to do at this point , my wife and I are hoping that some one can fix this problem.
