Not sure what your referring to, open vents for crankcase ventilation, yes.
There are the machined ribs @ .030" deep across the top of the cover.

Great point, but I would have to argue that with the machined grooved surface .030" deep as shown, would release the heat faster from the cover, just because it has more surface for the air to be in contact with. Interestingly enough, as the spider coil brackets are attached, their contact with the cover could act as a heatsink and help the situation further. It would be interesting if I could do some tests on this some day soon. Hey, this is really splitting hairs, and I don't have that much hair to spare. Quite seriously though, I have not gone into this much detail on the heat factor. It is Very interesting really. I guess we can agree to have our own opinions, Thanks again for your great comments.

Love them. I did the entire 454 on my 68's in wrinkle black. It gives allot more surface area to radiate heat off the surface. I noticed a big temp difference right away. plus chrome bolts really stands out. Again sweeet!
