NightOwl halos??

I will be getting color shift halos for my Camaro soon. I was wondering how hard it is to install the them? Looks complicated! More complicated than getting the oracle colorshifts!

Not difficult. Just takes time and patience. Can't do it and be in a rush.

They don't require you to bake the lenses I believe but I could be wrong. The oracle ones require you to pop off the lenses for sure. But you posted this in the wrong spot

I went with NightOwl - Joe has a great video that i followed and paused on and off during the install , the hardest part is installing the NEW led in the light housings...... just take your time and dont get frustrated or try to be in a hurry .... they worked out awesome... youll be impressed... also get the grill light ... for more effect...

I know, I've had colorshifts before. But it looks like it's difficult to change out the LED.

Not a fan of grille light, but thanks! It just seems simpler to bake open the headlights and put the rings in!

IMO not, I know that the baking is way more riskier and could hurt/scratch/burn up something, I thought about my options and what could happen being a mechanic for 30 years i didnt like the putting my $500 HID's in my oven and then have to cut and pry the lenses off...

Visit the thread and you see all the other comments...

LEDs were easy to install. First headlight took approx 20 mins and the second one 10. Have a 1/4" ratchet with a 6" and 4" extension and a universal joint and the bit Joe gives you makes it relatively easy. I Read the instructions on baking open the headlights and was glad I went this way instead.

If you had RS Halos and want colorshift, the NightOwl is the way to go. If you have non-RS and only want 1 color, then oracle is the way to go. Neither job is hard, just takes a little patience. I've done a few installs for both and it just depends what your overall goal is. Joe will definitely take care of you though.

I've had non RS Colorshift halos before but then I bought RS headlights. Now I wanna add colorshifts to them! Just want to know which way to go! I've heard NightOwl is the best, but then they're like 250$-300$ more. And I've seen something about needing wifi to control them from your phone? I'm not trying to be cheap, but I am buying other car parts too!
