If they don't announce a ZL1 'vert, going the aftermarket route would give you something almost no one else would have.

There goes your cool factor through the roof.

I'm not a convertible guy, but there is no denying, that's sexy.

Opinions of others should not make your decisions. To Hell with what others think! Get what YOU want!!! Suggestion: Get the vert now and ZL1 later? ...... Sad the interior above has gray and not black with the red.

You said; "I think you should", not me. I just point out choices are not always required. Have it ALL!

Getting a vert SS to 500 rwhp (that's about 580 at the crank) is very easy, cutting the top off of a ZL1 is not.

Very easy if you have the money, making that kind of power wont be cheap and it still wouldnt handle and perform as well as the zl1.

I'm thinking my vert will out run (should have my Whipple around the first of the year) and out handle a ZL1 when they come out all for about the same $$$, except I will be able to drop the top on beautiful days.

But, now my dealer, who has my deposit and tax credit, just got in a 2012 Inferno Orange Metallic 2SS Convertible, with IOM interior upgrade, white rally stripes, a hurst shifter, polished wheels, RS Package, etc... all the bells and whistles.

I am so tempted to just get it and call it a day. After todays pics of what seems to be a ZL1 2.0 or a Z28 there is just so much to take in and not enoguh info for the ZL1 at this point. I feel like GM will just keep upping the ante with this car before it is even out , and that the only reason I must have the ZL1 is because it is the big bad Camaro.

Thoughts?
My thoughts are that we are fortunately living in a day and age where we have such quandries. It's a fantastic thing that we have so much choice available in Camaro products, and many actually have a difficult time in making a decision. Thanks Chevy! We are lucky to have such problems!

We will see about that, the zl1 is not out yet and you dont have your whipple. Your car is beatiful but im sticking with the zl1. You never know maybe a vert will be in the line up for 2013.
