6.2 Liter V8

I have a 2015 RS/SS with the automatic. I used a metric converter and it says the engine is 378 cu. in. Does anyone know if that is correct or what the correct cu. in. is?

Curious: what's so strange about that? When you're doing close tolerance work in metric, do you insist on using a dial caliper that doesn't read in mm so you can get the 'ol scratch pad and pencil, or do you chose a digital caliper that can display mm?

I don't keep metric conversions in my head personally, and doing needless math is boring. Einstein once commented to the effect of: why remember everything when you can look it up. All the dude did was take the 21st century equivalent of Einstein's advice.

Question. Why did car manufacturers change to litres anyway. I grew up with 350 and 400 engines etc

Did we though? Might be surprised.

'66 Galaxie 500 was powered by an engine with the official name of "428 Thunderbird 7-Litre V-8"

late '70s Trans Ams were powered by a '6.6'

True. I worked at a Pontiac garage in 1981 and remember the "screamin' eagle" 6.6 T/A hood decal.
